Ohsomm is a start-up digital wine service that lets people buy the world's best wine online. With an ambition to move away from the stuffy, traditional world of wine, Ohsomm delivers a sommelier curated cellar that helps people find the right wine according to the moment or mood they're drinking it in. From tone of voice and label design, to the brand's website and filmed content, we helped Ohsomm get off the ground.
Part of the process for designing labels also looked at how each label could be customised and selected by the people buying it. One route we loved very simply looked at how photography and the 'O' from the brand name and the owl's wink could be modified to present different moments and moods using bright, colourful photography. From anniversaries to weddings, holidays to birthdays and new jobs, we tried to offer something for everyone.
Also, because we were trying to get away from the traditional world of wine, we also looked at ways we could break the familiar / traditional wine label, using more of the bottle's real estate to showcase the Ohsomm brand and tell an interesting story about the wine.
