Inviting guests to search like never before at the world’s longest coffee bar

Search has changed. People are now using more words to power their queries, with searches of 5 words or more growing twice as fast as shorter questions.

Google’s ‘Search like never before’ campaign highlights how Search - thanks to AI Mode - can deliver more intelligent and nuanced overviews and help you unlock more of the world with longer questions. Our challenge was turning that campaign and insight into a place made to reward your curiosity and give you the space to search smarter, not shorter.

The Search Bar - the world’s longest coffee bar and a destination celebrating longer searches - created a place where guests could turn their curiosity into currency unlocking special treats the longer they lingered in their questions. Part pop-up, part brand activation, the experience transported guests through the iconic Google Search bar, creating a speakeasy threshold before revealing the 28m long coffee bar inside. 

Then, around the bar itself, guests had a chance to search longer and interact with Google's evolving AI-powered search capabilities from their own device or the latest Google Pixel 10. Showing their search to the baristas behind the bar enabled them to unlock the reward of a free coffee to enjoy as they continued to dive deeper.

A rich world of Insta-worthy colour palettes, curious designs, and playful query prompts, guests could discover and share something new as they travelled the entire length of the bar. And, in a nod to the classic Google Search feature ‘I’m Feeling Lucky’, they could ring the bell of our secret service hatch to enhance their reward even further with little surprises from tasty cookies, Pixel Bud Pro earbuds, and even the latest Pixel device for the lucky few.
